Brothers David and Paul Knight worked for their family
engineering firm. They each graduated from the
engineering program at the University of Houston. While
there, David developed his idea for inventing the Cable
Lock piling system. They were able to gain
useful experience by troubleshooting foundation
problems, design and soil analysis. In 2001, David
retired from his engineering firm to pursue his passion
associated with several different charities. Paul
relocated to act as President of Cable
Lock in New Orleans. Under his
leadership, the company has grown to be the largest
foundation company in the state.
The New Orleans location was formed in the spring of
1997 as a Louisiana Corporation, with brothers David and
Paul Knight being equal shareholders. Paul Knight
functions as the president of the company.
Since its humble beginnings, the use of the Cable
Lock system has spread from one company to
several companies spanning five states. Owners David and
Paul Knight, with input from General Manager Darren
Averitt, have further developed the cable lock pilings
by accommodating them to the extreme New Orleans soil
conditions.
Cable Lock Foundation Repair presently
employs crews whose focus is repairing your home to a
state you desire. Cable Lock has the staff to handle
your needs. With crews ranging in size from six to eight
men, this enables us to service our customers with speed
and quality. Every crew has a foreman that oversees the
work being done. The foreman or specified supervisor is
present at all times during the actual lifting of the
home.
